Air Duct Scope Inspection

Floor Vent Scope + Video + Report

What Is an Air Duct Scope Inspection?

A vent scope inspection is a camera-led scoping of the supply floor vents only. The scope will begin at a supply floor vent and navigate as much of the duct work as possible. A floor vent scope inspection does NOT include scoping of all of the ventilation systems throughout the home and does not include scoping of supply vents located on walls or ceilings.

Do I Need to Order an Air Duct Scope Inspection in Addition to a Home Inspection?

That depends on the age of the home and whether the home has supply floor vents. A camera inspection is the only way to discover issues within the floor vent system once the home is built.

For homes that have a crawlspace or a basement, more than likely the home was constructed with ductwork under the floor. Overtime objects and debris can interfere with the quality of airflow through the ductwork and thereby cause degraded airflow throughout the home.

New construction homes are typically built on a slab and do not have HVAC duct work underneath the home.

Do You Offer Air Duct Scope Inspections?

Yes, for homes that have HVAC ductwork and supply vents located on the floor.

If the home does not have supply vents located on the floor, we cannot perform vent scoping.

What is Included in the Air Duct Scope Inspection?

An inspection of the floor supply vents with a camera-led scope, a video recording of the findings, plus a report of the findings, along with professional recommendations to our trusted HVAC partners. This service does NOT include an exhaustive scoping of all of the HVAC within the home.
